Intro
The concept of this painting is the contrast between invisible and visible objects with the idea of a folktale of ancient China. It is a classic love story between a human being named Cowherd and a fairy called Weaving girl. They fall in love with each other, get married, forced to separate as the marriage between a human and a fairy infringes the rule of nature and blocked by the Milky Way. The gradual change of blue depicts two worlds that never interact, and the irregular pattern of bright yellow dots links the whole piece of work.
The photo shows the night view of Shanghai World Financial Center. The trapezoid aperture is the most distinctive feature of this architecture which is made up of structural steel and reinforced concrete to resist wind pressure in such height. The shape of the architecture attracts my attention as it either looks like a bottle opener or a sharp saber.
This photograph was taken at Jinsha River in Yunnan, China. This landscape is one of a few well protected natural area with high altitude in China. The local people told me an interesting minority custom. A few days before their wedding, bride is not allowed to eat or drink to prevent them going to the toilet which is considered as unlucky. If you encounter a local on their way back from hunting, they would gladly share a prey with you.
